Mr. Goldsmith resided at Longfield, the property immediately south of Bloomsburg. He made many improvements to the house which returned it to a livable status.

On June 20, 1985, C. Oliver Goldsmith sold Bloomsburg and the immediate 11 acres of land to Stephen and Nancy Walker.
