Bloomsburg Enhancements

After the first hard winter on 1983/4, Mr. Hood and crew made frequent repairs and improvements to our Bloomsburg home. The kitchen was completely remodeled. A two car garage was added in 1988. The house was completely air conditioned in 1995. The bathrooms were renovated.

In 2001, we decided to expand Bloomsburg in a style that fully compliments the original structure. That project, which added a magnificent Kitchen and Great Room to the back of the house, a Library and Guest Suite to the south side and an incredible stone 2 story, 4 car garage to the north side, took until October 2004 to “complete” and workers were there every day thru Spring 2005.

The house was transformed from the 5 bedroom, 4,500 sq foot, 2 1/2 story structure which it had been since 1830 to today’s magnificent 14,000 sq ft structure including a 40 x 18 foot swimming pool with large slide, a 1,600 ft riding railroad plus an observatory on the garage roof, all of which fully complement and highlight the original building.
